Director of Business Development
Mr. Hedd has nearly twenty years of experience in managing marine design and scientific research projects across the globe. Throughout his career he has approached challenges by focusing on the practical interpretation and analysis of complex marine systems. His professional experience has ranged from developing designs for large high-speed catamaran ferries, providing design-construction liaison expertise for multiple vessel types, developing concepts for novel marine vehicles, through to managing hydrodynamic studies for America’s Cup programs at Oceanic. As Director of Business Development for Oceanic, Mr. Hedd is responsible for strategic planning and the coordinating of senior consulting staff to ensure that the firm is best positioned to respond to the ever-changing needs of the global marine industry. Mr. Hedd is a Naval Architecture graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland’s Marine Institute, has served on the executive committee of Canadian Atlantic Section of SNAME for several years, and serves on the Advisory Board for the Provincial Wooden Boat Museum of Newfoundland and Labrador.
